Macao Engineers Visit HCS
        On May 9, 2026, a delegation from the Macao Institution of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers visited Zhuhai Haoxing Control System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HCS"). A one-day in-depth technical exchange forum was held around the theme of Room-level Critical Environment Control Solution. As a Guangdong Provincial High-tech Enterprise and a "Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovative" Enterprise, HCS showcased its 28 years of profound technical achievements in the field of critical environment airflow control, presenting a journey of professional strength in independently developed core domestic equipment from R&D to manufacturing.

Technical Sharing: Room-level Intelligent Control Solutions

        The technical exchange kicked off at HCS’s headquarters. Zhang Yanxiang, General Manager and Senior Engineer of HCS, delivered a welcome speech. Drawing on over 40 years of accumulated experience in industrial automation and precision control, he shared the development trends and iterative directions of critical environment control technologies for laboratories and cleanrooms.

        Lin Xufeng, Director of Marketing and Sales at HCS, systematically reviewed the company’s technical roadmap since its establishment in 1997. He elaborated on the iteration of decentralized control and centralized monitoring solutions, as well as the working principles, production processes and core applications of Venturi Air Volume Control Valves and High-speed Variable Air Volume Butterfly Valves.

        The delegation experienced the pressure balance control system in HCS’ laboratory firsthand. Through on-site explanations and demonstrations, the visitors gained a deep understanding of the system’s practical control strategies—whether it is the positive and negative pressure environments constructed by pressure difference gradient control in biosafety laboratories, or a room pressure balance response time of less than 3 seconds when steady-state conditions are disrupted. Adhering to the philosophy of "ultra-product-oriented approach", HCS optimizes tolerances for every technical detail involved in airflow control, fully safeguarding "every breath" of researchers in critical environments.

        During the visit, HCS also presented its room-level airflow control solution. The delegation learned that the solution treats each room as the minimum control unit. Through cascade linkage of residual air volume and pressure difference, it enables independent control and stable maintenance of pressure differentials in individual rooms, ensuring predictable and sustainable airflow direction and effectively avoiding reverse flow risks. The solution has been deployed in over 2,500 experimental scenarios, including Zhejiang University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Petrochemical, Wanhua Chemical, Livzon Group, Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Process Engineering, and Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has achieved remarkable results in ensuring experimental safety, improving operational efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

On-site Inspection: Visiting the Entire High-precision Manufacturing Process

        In the afternoon, the delegation visited HCS’ manufacturing base in depth, covering core sectors such as production and manufacturing, product testing and fully automatic air volume calibration. Next to HCS’ self-developed automatic air volume calibration system for air valves, the delegation witnessed the rigorous process of 51-point precise calibration for each Venturi valve before delivery, ensuring consistent and reproducible product performance under different working conditions. In the aging workshop, the visitors carefully observed the extreme test conditions of HCS air valves and actuators, and highly recognized the result of over 500,000 full-load tests for HCS variable air volume valves.

AI Empowerment: Pioneering a New Paradigm for Laboratory Ventilation

        Another highlight of the visit was HCS’ innovative achievements in AI-powered intelligent ventilation. In 2024, HCS launched its first AI-enabled intelligent fume hood, integrating visual recognition and semantic interaction technologies. It supports area recognition, anti-pinch protection, personnel detection and device-level voice control. Leveraging AI video algorithms, the fume hood monitors the operating area status in real time, enabling real-time monitoring and risk prediction, elevating laboratory safety management from passive response to risk prediction.

Looking Ahead: Industry-University-Research Collaboration Empowering Chinese Manufacturing

        Currently, biosafety has become a core national strategic task, presenting unprecedented development opportunities for critical environment airflow control technology. In 2025, the Joint R&D Laboratory for Airflow Control, co-established by HCS and the China Academy of Building Research, was approved in Zhuhai. The two parties will conduct key technology research, product testing and verification, and innovative application exploration for laboratory and clean environments, promoting the wide application of high-standard domestically produced equipment.
 
        This in-depth visit by the Macao Institution of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers not only built a bridge for technical exchanges between engineering and manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong and Macao, but also witnessed HCS’s journey to serve the global market with independent and controllable innovation strength in the era where domestic core equipment is transitioning from following to running side by side. In the future, HCS will continue to deepen its presence in airflow control and intelligentization, adopting a strategic path of system reconstruction as the foundation and AI empowerment as the wing, contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to global critical environment safety management.
